THANK YOU Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity

We started our build today!!!! Very exciting. We didn't get quite as far as we would have liked but we did almost complete the front wall and have a great start on the inside walls and the back wall. Our crew is working great.....we are TIRED after hefting blocks all day, but it is worth it all as we get to know "our family." Two parents, three children, 21, 17 and not quite sure, but they do currently live on a boat in the river. We have added pictures in the previous post; so, take a look. We will put more pictures in there tomorrow morning when our internet connection works more quickly; so, check back......All are well and in good spirits, tired, but rewarded. Be sure to "double click" on the pictures which will fill the screen, then "hit" the BACK button to go back to the blog and next picture.....
Remember, we will post more pictures in the previous post.....
THANKS for all of your support......

HOUSES #13 & 14: Jerry Marlatt, house leader, Roger Hoffman, Tom and Jan Paxson, Alice and Randall Heckman, Judy Drown, Ken Mumm; Michael Smith, Rodger & Kay Payne, Rita Wright

  3. I'm glad to see everything is going well for you. I wonder how my Dad held up with his bags missing? Tell Randy and Alice we (Jen and Ben) are thinking of them and can't wait to hear about their adventures! Thanks for sending the pictures.

  5. It's great to see the picture's and read about the progress you are making! I'm surprised to see you all wearing sweatshirts, for some reason I thought it would be hot there! Snow and freezing drizzle in Nebraska! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers! Lot's of love to Mom and Dad (Tom and Jan Paxson)!

  7. Me too on the sweatshirts and warm clothes. Sounds like you are making great progress. So cool that you have met "the Habitat man" -- President Carter -- of course, you are all "VIP Habitat People" and I continue to be amazed with your work and the photos. Saw Bonnnie last night -- she is doing well and behaving :) Trish
