ALMOST FINISHED

We have the majority of the work completed.....see pics in previous post....we will have a DEDICATION tomorrow at NOON. Not quite done, but guess that's the way they do it here...we are so happy to be here and do this work....the "village" has embraced us and we them. It's been really fun to watch the barriers come down......
We are actually completing two houses even though we are only sponsoring one. Rodger and Kay Payne, Rita Wright and Mike Smith have been working on house 13 as well; so, Kearney, BE PROUD...two families will have "SIMPLE DECENT HOUSES" in which to sleep or as Millard Fuller once said, "...everyone who gets sleepy at night deserves a simple, decent place to lay their heads."
We are SO GRATEFUL to the Kearney Community to allow us to be a part of something MUCH BIGGER than ourselves....
Stay tuned......

  1. Thank you so much for the Blog! I am seeing places I would probably never see in my lifetime, thanks to you. Tell Mike Smith "Hi" from all of us at Ward Labs. It is great to see him working so hard!! Also, tell Mike Smith that Connie wants to know "How's the coffee in Viet Nam??" Great Job everyone!

  2. Wow, it's been a neat experience for me being able to try and live "through" you all and the amazing gifts you are creating in Vietnam! Thank you to whomever set up this site so we can sit in our homes in Nebraska and still feel a part of your journey! Bless you all, and if my mom and dad (Tom and Jan Paxson) get to see this, I love you very much and can't wait to talk to you!
