WE HAVE OUR BAGS.....our clothes, tools, and "necessities" are making us feel much better; although, we had a FANTASTIC time today. We met a young man from Chicago, Vu, who was born in Vietnam, but has lived in the US since he was 10. You will notice him in one of our pictures below. We WALKED the streets of Hai Duong where we are staying.......we witnessed a street market, see pictures. This evening we had a banquet with LOTS of food and a chance to be among the 400+ volunteers who are here from 13 countries including 28 states represented.
We BUILD tomorrow and are getting pretty excited. It will be a long day, but certainly worthwhile. It's why we came.
Having trouble sending pictures tonight. Will try again tomorrow...Might be bandwidth.....

Glad all's well and luggage showed up. Will you get a picture of Judy Drown so we know she is actually there. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Mom & Dad (aka Tom and Jan)! I tried to post a blog to you yesterday, and I couldn't get it to work, better luck this time! I'm glad your luggage showed up and hope you're having a great time! You are in my prayers, and I'm thinking of you often! I love you both, be safe!

A big HI from Roger's wife Sharon. Happy to hear that you have received your luggage. Good Luck with work tomorrow. Don't forget to take care of each other.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best from Kearney, Nebraska.
Any chance you could post the names of the members of your group -- not sure who they all are. Have a great building day :) Trish (AKA Nannie to my grandkids)
